Job Description

Learning and Development Manager; Our client seeks a highly motivated and experienced Learning and Development Manager to join their team. As the Learning and Development Manager, you will be responsible for designing and implementing comprehensive learning and development programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of our employees. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, subject matter experts, and external vendors to identify training needs, develop engaging learning content, and deliver effective training solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a strategic learning and development plan aligned with business objectives and organizational goals.
    Identify training needs through job analysis, performance evaluations, and consultation with managers and employees.
  • Design, develop, and deliver training programs using a variety of instructional techniques and formats, including classroom training, e-learning, and blended learning.
  • Create engaging and interactive learning content, such as training materials, facilitator guides, participant workbooks, e-learning modules, videos, and job aids.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts, internal stakeholders, and external vendors to develop and deliver specialized training programs.
  • Manage and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through pre-and post-training assessments, participant feedback, and performance metrics.
  • Continuously improve and update training content and delivery methods to ensure alignment with industry best practices and emerging trends.
  • Monitor and analyze training needs, trends, and developments to identify areas for improvement and innovation.
  • Manage the learning and development budget, including vendor selection and contract negotiation.
  • Stay abreast of new technologies, tools, and methodologies in the field of learning and development.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Training and Development, Instructional Design, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in designing and delivering learning and development programs, preferably in a corporate or training or consultancy environment.
  • Must be a complaint member of ZIHRM.
  • Must have a valid driving license.
  • Strong knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design models, and learning technology.
  • Experience in designing and delivering a variety of training formats, including classroom training, e-learning, and virtual instructor-led training.
  • Proficient in instructional design software, learning management systems, and e-learning authoring tools.
  • Excellent facilitation and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and inspire learners.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and build relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Passionate about continuous learning and professional development.
  • Ability to travel occasionally for training delivery and conferences.
